Space Pioneers Remembered in Song: It looks like Space.com has done most of the work for us in terms of finding songs with a space theme. It's a good list of titles and artists, from which we can find the songs themselves elsewhere.... Of particular note is a song from 1989 called "Yuri Gagarin" by Louis Philippe.

Ad Astra: Unlike most modern activist movements, the space movement lacks a collection of music to carry forth the movement's history, and its collective aspirations for the future of humanity. The National Space Society sought to address this dearth in 1998, by organizing the Apollo Awards for Space Songwriting.
