With well over 2 months remaining until the big day, Yuri's Night '08 has officially registered over 50 parties, is well on its way to 60 and is looking to surpass YN07's record-breaking total of 126 parties worldwide.
As of January 29th, 2008, Yuri's Night has officially registered 58 parties on six continents. Though half of these events hail from the United States (from 21 different states, to be exact), YN continues to fulfill its mission of reaching the entire globe. So far, 23 countries on six continents have registered Yuri's Night parties--and with Yuri's Night "only" reaching 35 countries in 2007, we're well on our way to making this the most global Yuri's Night year yet!
Despite the fantastic rates of registration we've had so far, there are still plenty of areas looking for their first Yuri's Night party. Russia, the home of Gagarin himself, has not yet had a single official registration submitted, nor has spacefaring China, among other nations. In the United States, parties have yet to be registered in Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, and Virginia, among other states. We know there are plans to hold YN events this year in many of these areas, but make sure to officially register with us as soon as possible. And as always, if you're in an area without any major YN parties nearby, you can register your own for free at www.yurisnight.net.
